Interesting facts about cats 

• There are about eight million cats in Great Britain.
• The five popular names for cats are Sooty, Tigger, Tiger, Smokey and Ginger.
• Cats have got a big family. Their relatives are lions, tigers and leopards. Domestic cats eat milk, mice, birds and fish.
• Most cats hate water, but Turkish cats love swimming and fishing. There are many cats in literature. Very famous cats are the Cheshire cat in "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland" and Tom from "Tom and Jerry".
